free countersNot just digital art on canvas

I create digital art and most of it on a computer, but not only the process, also the content has a digital nature

The core elements of many of my artworks are pixels, basic units of any computer image, while I often use digital tools to transform an idea into a distinctive piece of art. Inspiration for many of my artworks comes from years of professional experience with science and technology in combination with a creative, imaginative and inventive mind.

While from childhood I have been drawing and making a variety of designs as a hobby, during my professional career, my passion for graphic design was visible in nearly everything I did, demonstrating a strong desire to make things more beautiful. I wanted all documents that I created to look good, attractive to the reader. PowerPoint became one of my best friends.

When new, innovative Internet based technologies emerged, like online publishing and printing on demand, I finally found a way to realize my passion: create my own artwork and share it with the world. This was the opportunity to change from making things beautiful to making beautiful things.

Real Digital Art
In my series ‘Real Digital Art’, I created QR codes, using inspirational quotes by famous people as input to a web-based QR code generator. For ‘A World of Pixels’ I took a digital image and while zooming in to the level of individual pixels, I found fascinating abstract patterns. Inspired by these regular structures, I found other applications of using pixels in my artwork. The three series of ‘Random Digital Art’ are examples that are based on QR codes, where the block pattern is entirely defined by randomly generated numbers.
